Knowledge
Create an invoice, quote and Nachtrag in your own words
Describe what you did. From that, a document in German is created, which you review before sending.
Which document do I need?
That depends on the situation: A quote states what you offer at what price. A cost estimate is a non-binding estimate. The invoice requests payment for work performed. A Nachtrag covers additional or changed services.
- Invoice: progress invoice (Abschlagsrechnung) or final invoice (Schlussrechnung)
- Quote or cost estimate
- Nachtrag with justification
- Letter to the client
- Acceptance report (Abnahmeprotokoll)

How the draft is created
You describe the task in your language, by text or voice. BauWalker asks for anything missing and prepares the document in German: recipient, subject, salutation and text.

Who calculates and who decides
- Amounts and VAT are calculated by the platform using fixed rules, not by the language model.
- You enter prices and quantities yourself – BauWalker does not suggest prices.
- A document is sent by email only after your explicit confirmation.
Abschlagsrechnung: what matters under VOB/B
If the VOB/B has been agreed, interim payments (Abschlagszahlungen) are to be granted in the amount of the value of the verified services rendered in accordance with the contract; proof is provided by a verifiable statement (§ 16 Abs. 1 Nr. 1 VOB/B). The claim falls due within 21 days of receipt of the statement (§ 16 Abs. 1 Nr. 3 VOB/B). The wording of your contract is always decisive.
How it works in BauWalker
